RISK WORKSHOP – 1st JUNE
The day will run from 10 am to 4 pm.
Eric Alter will present: Artificial Intelligence – A New Risk Landscape, the session explores how AI is evolving, the realities behind the hype, and the opportunities and risks emerging across industries. The session will cover different types of AI, current and future applications, key questions organisations should be asking, regulatory developments including the EU AI Act, the impact on insurance, and what the future of AI may hold.
Jahnavi Jagadish will be presenting on Risk Appetite. This interactive session explores the concept and purpose of risk appetite, drawing on the journey of a local authority and its Housing ALMO as they developed a set of meaningful, practical risk appetite statements. It examines how these statements can be aligned with decision-making at different stages, and how they support and reinforce overall strategic objectives.
Rich Clark from SWAP will present: Lessons from Real Risk Registers: Prediction, Prevention, and Missed Signals.
Paul Dudley will present: Embedding Risk: From Resistance to Results
