Powering Smarter Claims Management with LACHS & Power BI

claim hotspot map

A2Dominion first implemented the LACHS claims management system in 2013, progressing from LACHS 4 to LACHS 5 in order to maximise the effectiveness of claims processing, data management, and reporting. Via an API link, we have now integrated Power BI to allow the development of custom reports that are tailored to different parts of the organisation within the group. Power BI allows operational claims data to be further interrogated, offering greater complexity & sophistication, which is beneficial, over and above the reporting features already available from within the operational tool.

The LACHS system allows for claims to be logged against our properties, claims managed from incident to closure, the recording of loss ratios, and non-claim data such as policy information. The ability to add and report on custom fields allows us to capture additional claims data which aids meaningful reporting as well as improving overall claims handling and insurance management processes.

LACHS supports asset management by linking claims to properties by way of a data link from our housing management system. This ensures that we have up to date stock and resident information within LACHS. LACHS can also import monthly insurer claim information to update insurer claim statuses and financials automatically. As well as managing claims, policy, and property information within LACHS, we have also set it up to manage health and safety incidents, technical and disrepair cases.

We have collaborated with JCAD to introduce online notification forms for health and safety incidents and are working towards allowing residents to submit claims online. Support from JCAD is responsive and knowledgeable, with designated contacts for ongoing assistance and development.
